2. Race car driver Mario Andretti started his own winery in 1996 with friend (and ex-Kmart CEO) Joe Antonini. His 42-acre estate grows pinot grigio, chardonnay and merlot.

3. Actor Antonio Banderas is getting in on the action with a 50 percent ownership stake in Ribera del Duero winery, “Anta Bodegas”. Located in Northwest Spain, it covers 590 acres and produces 600,000 bottles annually.

4. In 2000, singer Dave Mathews established Blenheim Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. Tastings are not quite as expensive as front row concert tickets, a mere $5 for a tasting includes a souvenir glass; or for $25 you get a private cellar tour and tasting. Bottles sell for $15-$30 each.

5. Jason Priestly, most famously known for his role as Brandon in the 90′s T.V. series “Beverley Hills 90210″ owns a piece of Black Hills Estate Winery, situated on 27 acres on the Black Sage Bench region of Canada.

6. Olivia Newton-John and longtime friend Pat Farrar own Koala Blue Wine, which was originally a retail clothing company but re-launched in 2002 into the wine business.

7. After a successful venture in business with his energy drink known as CRUNK!, rapper Lil Jon launched his own winery called, Little Jonathan. His Merlot, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon is grown across California and starts at $15.99 a bottle. There’s nothin’ like gettin’ crunk in wine country.
